Hi,

I've been having problems with my brand new unit since I've moved in a year ago. The problem I have is a cooking smell coming into my bathroom mostly in the evening. My unit is on the 17th floor of a 22 floor building and supposedly I'm the only one having this problem.

I have been investing this problem for the past year and it's definitely not coming from the outside. I'm suspecting either a pipe isn't sealed coming up from the concrete floor or the back wall of the unit is causing a problem as seen in this video. You will need Quicktime to view it.

My questions are:
1. Is that normal to have that kind of air blowing out of that wall in the video? The wall is a party wall which is shared with the unit next to me.

2. Is drywall tape air permeable? I found that there was a gap inbetween the concrete floor and the drywall and the drywall taping sealing it was loose. So instead of sealing the gap with sealant, the developer use the polyurethane to glue the drywall tape back on.

3. Anyone know how to remove polyurethane sealant?

Thanks for the help!
