Thinking of Starting a buisness have ?

SO I am thinking of starting a Landscape buisness and then experiment with concrete countertops. I am just wondering if some one can help me through the steps of starting my buisness. I am wondering about taxes and what licensing and insurance or bonding Imay need. this buisness will be based out of my home for now, because I am in the navy It is going to be very difficult and take a lot of time but I really want this and will eventually focus mainly on the countertops if buisness picks up enough, and am about to start on my construction technology degree. hopefully with some good advice and some help I can make this work.

I don't know, you've got income, its a great time to be learning. check out the state your interested in. Our laws are overseen by DPOR, Dept of Professional and Occupational Review. NC is the Dept of Insurance. The buiding deptartment can probably steer you in the right direction and tell you what you need. Different states require different trades to carry different licensing and insurance. I worked in one state where I didn't need a license but a professional wrestler and hairdresser did... go figure. I would think diversifying into all countertops if its a metro area or cabinets and all countertops if rural would stand a better chance of making it through taste changes.
