We are considering three construction management systems right now. The two online products are -
Buildit http://www.builditsystems.com/
and
Buildertrend http://www.buildertrend.com/softwareSolutions.aspx
Does anyone have experience with either of these two products?
We've also been looking for some time for a software program for project scheduling etc. We just decided this week to go with BuildIT. If you haven't taken the test drive yet, give it a go. I was pleased with all that's offered though the software, and we've been please with the service provided thus far. Scott has been very prompt to answer our questions and seems eager to get us up and running with the program. I wish I could tell you more but as I said we are just getting started.
Good luck!

I've been using BuildIt for the last 3 years. It's friendly user, easy the communicate with the trades and suppliers. I've produced a detailed construction schedule that I've attached contacts to. With a wed address linked to these contacts, they have access to the tasks assigned to them and details regarding these tasks. BuildIt has documents you can use and Scott can incorporate you own documents if you want. I had Scott to add to our BuildIt system a feature which give access to all my subcontractor to get all the files info through there web address link. They have access to site plan, working drawing, extras and deletions, exterior color selection and many more. No more trades saying we didn't receive these changes. They have access 24/7 to all the lots under construction. These are some of the features that I like and there's a lot more. Hope you have chance to really try BuildIt. I tried a couple similar software and BuildIt was the one for me.

I also like the BuildIt system but I am actually leaning towards the BuilderTrend because of a few unique features. Has anyone tried it yet?
I went through the online demo while on the phone with a guy.
We're using Prolog / ProjectTalk from Meridian.. very powerful.. and they will customize it to fit your company.

Someone told me to look into Buildtopia. I'm reluctant to invite a salesman into my already too busy life so I haven't followed up.

Hello everybody ,
There is a new software available on the market!!!
Look on the web and download the trial version of PriMus Revolution, it's really great! It is easy to learn, easy to use, fast and professional. PriMus helps to improve the estimating activities, I suggest you all to try it and post your feedbacks and comments.

Make him buy you lunch! Pick his brain, he should be able to tell you something about his competition. You are going to need to slow down and learn the software no matter what.

CementCreek, you're right. I work for a construction job cost accounting and construction estimating software company, Maxwell Systems, and I see very busy people in the market for software a lot. Software is an investment, so it's important to take the time to research and review the product and company thoroughly before making a purchase.
Hope this helps,
Heidi

Construction management program is just great. But according to me including construction zone safety will help to secure a safe construction site. As construction is a massive task involving immense amount of risk in the process. Safety standard measures will create more cautious and safe environment for all the employees.
