I'm slacking - finding all these posts that I didn't see. Some great looking homes there. I like your designs better than the not your designs. One the not your designs - what's the deal with only doing brick on a portion of the fronts and stopping it. Looks like an after thought. Your design at least looks like the brick stops at a logical place.

Having a brick front started up in Canada about 30 years ago. It's just a design like having brick on the lower half and siding above it. The first time I saw it, it looked strange. You get over it.

Actually this subdivision was develped by a company owned by Shaw Group that owns Shaw Brick. There is a requirement to have 1/3 of the exterior cladded with their product or you cannot build.

I usually try to stop the brick in a sensible spot but most just stop when they reach the 1/3 coverage.
