As a stick carpenter i have installed many a door :D . However I am now facing the task of removing old metal frame doors and installing new ones :? . It might appear to be a simple task but i am not sure of the best way to:
1. remove the exsisting metal frame (grouted in of course).
2. method of simming the door.
3. best method of appling the groute in the frame cell.

Any help on the issues above would be of great help. :) Only 16 of these types of doors to do....

You know.. I have quite a few carpenters that do all of our metal frames.. and honestly I've never stopped to see how they did it. I've never had anything but wood doors..

You know, I am not surprised at the response...(mean it in a good way). I have seen other carpenters doing the task from a far but never took it upon myself to stop and ask them how to do it. I guess I thought that working with wood, I would never have to do it. Well anyways if you see any of those carpenters and have the time to ask I would appreciate it. :D
