steel trusses with welded with gusset plate

Ho to estimate gusset plate to be weld with 2 angles bars?

Is there a "rule-of-thumb" for this? Thanks and GOD bless....

No rules of thumb. First you need to determine the forces present then select gusset and weld configuration to resist those forces... engineering required. The AISC manual has some guidelines but does not analyze the truss forces. You can probably get a look at it through interlibrary loan as its about $150 to purchase.
