I have a pool installed in a very small backyard. I wanted to build a 5 sided cabana in the corner. But to keep to code, I would have to build it smaller than 8 x 8. Something like 7' / 3.6' or 6' / 3' would fit.
When I asked some designers about custom plans being drawn up, they said that structurally, it was too difficult to build the roof for a 5 sided shed smaller than 8 x 8.
I scoured the net and sure enough, I have not found any designer that seems to sell plans for smaller than 8 x 8.
I'm not a structural engineer (why I was looking to buy plans) so can anyone tell me if it is indeed impossible to build a 5 sided shed smaller than 8 x 8 and if so, what is the actual limitation?
If not can you give any insight on roof pitch required or where I could have plans made up?
Cheers
