In one of our warehouse that i've visited, I've noticed that in the canopy, the contractor used 1/4" thick hardiflex fiber cement board as fascia board? Is it ok? Isn't the use of 1/4 thick fiber cement board is much thinner compared to the usual 1" x 5" or 1" x 6" wooden fascia boards? Im new to engineering profession with a little experience in construction, pls. advise. thank you and GOD bless....

This is what I've used but I guess its a matter of what was specified.

thanks Don_p for the reply, what i suggest is that instead of using 1/4" thick fiber cement board, use 12 mm (0.472") thick hardiflex senepa,

I would have thought that would have been quite a lot thinner but i suppose the person that put it in must have been comfortable doing it so I guess that it would still be ok :)
