In Western North Carolina, what is the average price to have drywall hung and finished in a new construction, materials included. I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect for my house. I wanna know what to expect when i get my estimates. What do they usually charge per ft.? Thanks guys, this site is extremely helpful, and has answered many of my questions.

I don't know how much materials cost where you live, but drywall goes for about $12 for 32 sq ft (8' by 4')... sheetrock is about $25 for a bag, drywall tapping compound is about same $25... do you need framing? Labor is charged per sq ft on drywall, sheetrock, tapping and painting... different contractors have different prices though. If you are doing drywall, sheetrock, and tapping only, you are probably looking at ~$1.50 per sq ft.
