Join a Hip roof to a Cottage roof

I'm extending my garage which has a Cottage roof and will end up with a hip roof at the back. I have installed trusses but need to stick frame between the hip part to the cottage part. How do I join these two roofs together?

Take and draw us up a rough sketch of what you are doing - include some dimensions- We have some Canadians in the forum they have to have pictures - =)

(With some lumber and nails was what I was gonna type first, but I declined)
