preparation for selling an older home

I want to sell my home. It is in updated shape- new kitchen, flooring, ceilings and walls. The inside looks great. What do I need to look for in order to pass an inspection. I want to repair the defects before I put it on the market. It is 1000 sq ft and has wood siding and a buried basement.

To diagnose the problems I would hire a home inspector to come through and do a cursory inspection. Tell them you just need a short write up on the problems - not their full-blown $600 version.
I could give you a full list of things to look at - but it would essentially be the whole house :)
