I am having a house built in Michigan. The footings have just been poured and upon my visit noticed that there were no vertical rebars to tie the footing to the wall.
Should I be worried? I assume that they are building to code as they are required to have the footings inspected prior to pouring the concrete. Everything I read seems to indicate that rebars are the way to go. Also my lot is about a 100 yards from a small lake.
