I have finished my elevated deck, but I have seen so many different ways to do the roof, and outside walls, I don't know where to start. my deck is 25'
with a 10' span. Not sure how to tie the shed roof in to my existing roof.
how do I attach a picture. it does not look like it will let me.

Make sure you consider the deck itself since they may be many insects below that can easily enter through the deck.

Welcome to the forum gbeach,
This is the pic I believe you were trying to show;

sorry for the trouble, we're trying to screen out some insects ourselves. I've deleted your "nothing" posts but have tried to make it so you can post pics and links, feel free to give it a try.
It looks like the left hip in the picture and the chimney are going to give you a hard time. This might be a better canidate for a hip roof depending on the rise available on the left hip. What is your snow load in PSF? Are the footings under the porch adequate to support a floor and a roof? It also looks like there are not double joists to carry the chimney header underneath. This would be a good place to call in a builder if you are unfamiliar with roof framing, this is not the easiest one to learn on.

yes that is the picture, thanks. I am in Georgia, so we don't get any snow.
my footings are 33" deep with rebar and 18" diameter with 6x6 supports. you actually can't see the chimney support, the vinyl siding covers it. but it is cantilevered with 2x12's and the left and right sides are doubled, and I am going to double the ones in between those also. yes the chimney is going to be a pain in the butt. my highest starting point is 116", so I will be lucky to have a 2.5/12pitch. my brotherinlaw is a builder so he is trying to talk me through it 400 miles away.

another question. of course my wife wants steps. I have tried like hell to talk her out of them due to the extra work. at first I thought of going off of the side, but now I am thinking it will be easier to just put them right in the middle the same width as the 2 posts 5 foot, and come straight out. what do you think.

It would work. I'd be tempted to build a landing deck halfway down to break up the run.
That pitch is asking for a leaker, I think I'd throw on a pig and invite BIL up for a visit :)

i don't see where you think it will leak. I am going to put the grace vycor plus
rubber membrane down at all transition and flashing areas. I know it's not an ideal pitch, but I am only about 2 ft on the existing roof at the most, and it is a 12/12 pitch.
