hope someone can help, i know how to do the concrete block wall itself, but what kind of footer? how do i attach new wall to existing concrete block wall, and most importantly, how the heck is the best way to do this with an existing roof?????????? please help asap.
Your footer will depend on your soil type.. but typically it's twice your wall width and as deep as your wall is wide. Attaching a new wall to an existing wall will require either tying the walls together (a mason would be able to explain better so I'll leave it at that) or if the cells are full filled you can drill and epoxy rebar.. or leave it as an expansion joint. Again it will depend on what other conditions there are to consider.
As far as your existing roof I'm not sure what you're needing. You mean tying a new roof into your existing roof?
If you're asking questions about some of this stuff I would suggest contacting a contractor to have a look at it. Especially considering your ASAP comment.
