So we had a gas interruption today so I went outside to reset my non sealed gas regulator and I cant figure it out for the life of me. There is no plunger to pull on like all my old ones. When you take the cap off and look inside you see a spring pressing against the diaphragm and a bolt in the center. I tried pulling on the bolt with a set of needle noses with the gas still on and it was really hard so I didnt want to pull it to hard and left that idea alone. If you push on the bolt, natural gas escapes and it doesnt lock into place. I called the gas company and it wont be till Friday that they can come out and reset it because it isnt an emergency which is bs since its there fault.
Any ideas? Its going to be a cold night with out my heat and I got kids. Please help! I can take a quick picture if needed.
