hi, im Dan, ive just my nvq1 in joinery a week ago and have lots of spare to do some work around the house, i hope to start an aprentiship in purpose made joinery in september,

Could some body tell were i could find any where that sells mortice chisels with wooden handles with the metal rings on the top of the handles and non hardpoint hand saws, cheers

I've never bought anything from them but I do know Sheffield has some of the best tool manufacturers around. I think Starret is around there somewhere - or at least they were.

I wouldn't even consider a set of chisels that didn't have the Sheffield Steel logo on them. Its just about the best tool steel out there.
