I have a one story addition to frame, 26x16. Roof span 26 feet. 4.5 on 12 pitch 8 ft walls 10 ft ceiling, 1/2 inch rock no storage above 20 pound snow load. no wind load. I think I need 2x10 rafters and 2x10 rafter ties? I also believe a ridge beam is needed but I cannot calculate the load at the ridge. Please give me any information available

As a rule of thumb typically the ridge beam is one size up from the rafter size. The ridge beam in your situation is acting more to give the rafters a place to bear against. Without rafter/collar ties you will have to look at the ridge beam as an actual bearing member. So for 2x10 rafters you would use 2x12 ridge beam. mj - anything else for drobinson? And welcome to the forum drobinson.
