Hello.
Is there any reason why one Tekmar 003 relay (pretty standard relay for radiant floor heating I think) can not power two circulating pumps?
The relay is energized by a 24v transformer that is signaled by the thermostat and is connected to #7 & #2 on the relay. The 120v load is hooked to #8 and shows powering a pump on #6 of the relay. This would leave #1 & #3 terminals unused. It also seems those terminals are completely separated and segregated from terminals #8 & #6. Leaving me to believe they would perform the same function without interference.
The circulating pumps both are under 1 amp @120v, the relay is rated for 10 amps @250v max.
P.S. The relay costs more than the pumps!! (approx. $100 for the relay and $90.00 for the pumps.)
So I'm hoping that this one relay signaled from one thermostat will power both pumps.
Thanks for any help or advise.
Terry.
