Hello,
I am using a Rehau dial thermostat to energize a Tekmar relay to power two Grundfos circulating pumps for my in floor heating with a Viessmann wall hung boiler. The boiler circuit handles the primary loop pump, the thermostat will be operating the two circulating pumps for the two manifolds.
The thermostat wiring diagram is not clear to me because it shows wiring options for different thermostats.
The four main connections are as follows:
Two labeled "C" and both are colored blue. The schematic options for these are:
- " 24v out c "
- " #1 of zone "
- " 24v com "
Are these the 24v power in from my transformer that will supply the power to the thermostat or are these the power out to energize my relay when the thermostat calls for heat?
The other two connections are:
One red connection labeled " R " The schematics options for this are:
- " T Right "
- " R "
- " Th (left) "
- " TT (power) "
The last connection is yellow and labeled " W " showing options of:
- " T left side "
- " W "
- " Th (right) "
- " TT (switch) "
I'm sure these are very common labels to a HVAC person, but not I!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S. My relay schematic is showing two wires from the stat. One is " R " and is connected to #7 of the relay which looks to be the energizing power when calling for heat. The other is " C " connected to #2 on the relay. Which I'm guessing is simply the common or return.
