to set the stage:
1979 split entry home, remodeled, mostly not by me.
Seattle area, so rainy alot.
Friday midmorning, day off, Mother in law in town
Getting ready to go off for a day of shopping and playing ( yea....)
So there I am, hiding in the garage, "putting tools away" (checking stock in the beer fridge) When from upstairs I hear " Honey!! theres something leaking"
arrgghhh, I go upstairs, crescent in hand, to arrive at the top of the stairs to see everyone gathered in the kitchen starring at the skylight
Yup. theres something leaking. water drops on the wood floor, its raining like crazy outside, and drip drip drip inside. Not from the seal on the skylight of course,but from the drywall corner, where the corner tape has cracked and peeled away for about three inches.
Swell.
I put the back of my hand to the ceiling and feel dampness about the size of a melon around the corner.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGHHHHHHH!!
