I am wanting someone who could explain to me the proper way to calculate how many studs are needed for a wall... no windows and no doors, just a 28foot wall. In theory I will be using the three studs at the end of each corner, but can someone help me understand visually of how it is supposed too be framed with maybe a picture or diagram or with descriptive words. Thanks.

A stud every 16" or three studs every 4'.

A quick rule of thumb is (1) stud per linear ft will get you close.

Or length / spacing (1.33 for 16" O.C.) + 2 studs additional studs for each corner, regular opening and wall intersection for a more accurate take-off.
