Hello all, I have been screwed over by a canadian steal building company. Pioneer Steel, charged me what was supposed to be 9,000 canadian dollars. he got my card number and charged me in us dollars. When i find out i call, and he tells me no nono i quoted you in us dollars. Im like what ever, move on it shows up here in alaska late in the season, so it didnt go up. the next season comes around i get contractor to put it up. find out the rails are missing(for my garage doors) call the company back. i get ahold of a gentlman that is very helpfull and friendly. tells me how the hell do we exspect you to put your building up with out all the pieces? tells me hes gonna figure it out and get back to me. three days go by and i decide to call them back. This time i get the owner, and the guy that sold it to me Mike Muaghn. He say" what do you want me to do aboutit?" im like... what the fuk do you think i want you to do? Send me my god damn rails. H e tells me " do you know how much that would cost me?" I say i dont care how much it cost you send me my rails. we go on like this for about an hour cussing and yelling him saying tuff shit and me saying i dont think so. finaly he says he wiill take care of it. i hang up call a local place to get some, just under 800$ call him back he says ok takes down the number, and tells me he will take care of it. that was over a month ago. the son of a bitch keeps telling me he will call me in a couple days. over and over again. come to find out there is a couple pannles that are wrong too. this sone of a bitch over charged me, and has costed me an extra 1000$ and keeps blowing me off.
so i am doing what i can to warn other americans about this company,In hopes that they wont have to go through the hell i went through.Ive been talking to the canadian better business bureau, the canadian government, and the consumers trade affairs. the seem eager to help. thanks for listen to my rant, i tried to keep it short

Welcome to the forum Flavor - and Wow on your story. That's tough to swallow at first isn't it? You think (and you have no reason not to) that the company will treat you fairly and with respect. They are the professionals and I must trust them to provide me with all the right stuff. Yeah right. Very rarely is that the case.
Appreciate the heads up.

Let's try and keep the swearing to a minimum please.
Keep us posted on how it all works out - I almost did a steel building for a client (manufacturer was from Canada) but in the end he changed his mind.

you were probly luky. every one that i talk to regrets doing it. all the contractors that i talked to refused to do it. And then, a young contractor came through for my services. the rest is history

Johnny Cochran? haha.. just kidding.
I find it surprising that they have been in business this long with that type of service / support. I can't even suggest a different course of action for you. Maybe the BBB can give other suggestions. Keep us (or is it just me?) posted.

Yes it is.... there are quite a few larger diy and construction forums out there. I think most of the people go there...even though the forum has half the experience that I do...lmao..

You might want to check into an internet spelling tutorial for your cuss words.

Why not post all his info: those with time can contact him & pretend to be possible customer, then say Oh! I heard about the way you do business. You should have had your credit card company into it as soon as you found out about the overcharge.
