Hello, I'm currently studying architecture at my high school, and I have some questions regarding a project I'm working on.

On the second story of the house I'm designing, there's a deck; directly below it is a guest room. I'm not sure how to draw the sections/details for this; I'm not even sure how to watertight it. I've been trying to research possible solutions on the internet, and have gotten results anywhere from under-deck solutions, to watertight membranes. I'm just hoping someone has had some experience with this, or anything remotely related, so that I can try to understand this. I don't feel right including things in my drawings that I don't understand.

Thank you in advance!

Roof decks typically have many problems. The decks should be built modular so they can be easily removed. Fastened with screws etc..

Water tight membrans are a must. Usually a double layer where the sleepers rest on the roof.
