I am trying to flash a stone chimney that splits two different roof elevations. One side of the roof is flashed properly and does not leak, but the other side has me stumped. There is corrugated metal roofing on the side that the leak is happening on. I have built a small cricket to go behind the chimney, but I think that the water can still flow up into the flutes of the roofing where the roofing meets the valley flashing of the cricket. I would post pictures but I don't know if I can do that as I am new to this website. Does anyone know the best way to go about flashing this chimney? I can email pictures if anyone needs them to help me. Thanks!

You should be able to post a pic now :)

I have attached some pictures that will help you see what I was trying to explain. I know the cuts are sloppy but I had a hard time keeping a straight line on the stone.

It looks like you would lay the next sheet, notched below the chimney and turned up along the side. A piece of flat metal would form the cricket/roof valley and turn up the upper side of the chimney. It will slip out and sit on top of the sheet just laid. Another sheet will form the upper part of that run and will be cut to fit the valley. There will be one more valley cut on a small piece after that.

Thanks for the help. We were able to get back up on the roof today and figure it out. Now we are just waiting for it to rain so we can make sure it doesn't leak...
