Is it usual that 3/4 inch T&G plywood for floors is not quite 48" wide when installed? I was laying down the flooring for a 24 x 32 cabin I am building and the flooring ended up 2.5 or 3 inches short after 6 courses (24' wide). The 32' distance was covered perfectly. Why would they manufacture this to be only 47.5" wide when the tongue and groove are pushed together? In order to be 48" wide, you would not even push the tongue and groove together at all.

The tongue and groove are milled in after the plywood is manuafctured to standard 48" width. Its only a pain in the butt when your building dimesions are muliples of 4 feet. We just fill it in with a bit of scrap.
