Found this place with a search and hope you guys can help. I'm building a house and have just completed framing. Originally this house was supposed to be on a basement but when we dug down we ran into a spring, we moved the house about 100 yds away and about 15' above the previous location, all that and we went with a crawlspace to keep from digging too deep. Footings poured and it rained for weeks on end filling the crawlspace. As the house was built we pumped out the water finally finishing a couple of days ago, yesterday we enter the crawlspace to find half of the space covered in 2-3" of water, we can see no movement in the water but its slowly rising! Now that the house is so far along what options do I have to keep this water out? Thanks for any help.
P.S. if it cannot be stopped do I build anyway, insurace cover it?

It sounds like you need a sump pump. They are pretty easy to install - albeit a little dirty. Essentially you can dig a hole in the crawlspace and put in a 2' - 3' culvert going down about 3' - 4'. Then you can hang a small sump pump in there with a float and problem solved.
