Hi - I'm building a new home...

I'm using a contractor who is supervising the project and he's letting us do some of the work ourselves. I'm getting all the permits (and there are a lot since we have wetlands in one corner of the lot!) and we're going to do the electrical and painting and things like that.

My question is this... I've figured out where to get just about everything done for the planning stage including the Wetlands Mitigation Plan, but I need a site map. Who does a site map? I have a survey done by a professional surveyor and I have blueprints on the way. But in order for the contractor to get started and in order for the wetlands folks to draft their plan I need a site map of the house on the lot. Any idea who I go to for this and what this might cost?

Ask your contractor if he/she knows a draftsman that can do it. It'll be much cheaper than getting an architect or engineer to do it for you. You'll need to supply the survey and a copy of the blueprints to the draftsman.. they'll merge them together.
